Dudeville hasn't been tended recently, and some updates have been needed--not to the Planet itself, but to the subscribed blogs. Rene's, Simon's and Vic's blogs have been updated with their new feed URLs.

Planet Trouble

As some of you may have seen, an item posted by one of the Dudes has given the Planet software a bit of grief. Apologies for the issue, hopefully your readers are weathering it.
No clue at this stage what the problem might be, but it seems that some inline Javascript in the entry is not being parsed properly. I've tried the latest nightly build of Planet, as well as the Planet derivative Venus, and they each have the same problem.
The frustrating part of this is that this Dude's blog is syndicated on Planet Linux Australia, and it displays fine there. We should be running the same software, so it probably indicates some Python library incompatibility or a theme problem.
Suggestions gratefully accepted...

Newcomers to Dudeville

Some new entries in the roll... I forgot to mention Geoff, whose musings were added a while back, and now Matt and Rene join us.

Geoff brings to the 'Ville a somewhat unhealthy interest in Java, balanced with some fascinating astrophysical stuff, while Matt doesn't appear to have added anything to his blog since 2006 (but he's got puppy photos, kewl!). Rene on the other hand is not only a regular blogger but, by the look of his posts, actually knows some stuff too! :)

Please welcome Paul to Planet Dudeville! As a somewhat more prolific blogger than any of the existing Dudevilleers, he might embarrass us all into making more regular updates... :)
